Given our university’s continued mission to decrease costs for the candidates, as well as increase interview ability at programs throughout the country, we will proceed with holding interviews on ZOOM. Although there will not be any in-person interviews, we will offer an in-person open house after the interview season (after submission of the rank list), so you can visit our center and meet our colleagues to fully assess if our program would be a great fit for you.
The night before your scheduled interview, there will be a Zoom meeting with some of our residents. This is a great way for you to engage with our trainees and ask any questions you may have about our program.
There will be eight interview days, with two interview groups per day. The first (AM) group should plan on logging on to Zoom by 8:35 a.m. and the second (PM) group by 10:55 a.m. You will meet with residents and faculty members during your day, learn valuable details about the program and its benefits from the Program Director, learn about our DEI mission, as well as meet our chairperson and Hodges society representative.
The interviews will be 15 minutes each and there will be a 5 minute break between each interview. In addition to meeting our faculty and residents, you will have a chance to attend a noon conference that is representative of the daily noon conferences we hold throughout the year.
When you schedule your interview, please make sure you will have a quiet place during the meeting day, a computer with a camera and your cell phone nearby, just in case of internet glitches or disconnections. Even though ZOOM may seem less personal, be yourself and enjoy your time with us, we are all excited to meet everyone and highlight our training program.
