Dr. Olga Pasternak-Wise, who has been serving as an Associate Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency since 2022, will now step into the Program Director role. She will be the acting program director for recruitment and day to day activities.
After much thought and consideration, Dr. Seng Ong has decided to officially step down as the Program Director effective January 1, 2024 to spend more time with his family. He will remain in the Pediatric Imaging Section as a faculty member and will provide support to the diagnostic radiology residency program in an advisory role.
Dr. Ong has been the fearless leader of the residency program since September 2012. Over the years, Dr. Ong has mastered the recruitment season by matching the best and brightest medical students to our program. He also has kept the program in full accreditation status with the ACGME year after year. Dr. Ong been a huge advocate for our trainees and his leadership will be missed.
Filling Dr. Ong’s shoes will be no easy task; however, we are confident that Dr. Pasternak-Wise will continue to be a great asset as she leads the residency program.
